As you can see we now have a set of wheels ; a kind neighbour took us around 3 car auctions(we got a free hotdog, so Alex was happy...but no car.) Just as we were despairing we chanced to meet someone who helped us get this car, bought from an old boy who loved it dearly; A Ford Falcon. It's racing green, incase you can't tell! It's an automatic, so you just point it in a direction and go!!

So, here is a local bird.....this cockatoo is one of many who like the tree outside the house!!

And here is another local one!! It is the mascot for the Basketball team, 'The Pirates';we went to see their sell-out match against the Brisbane Bullets. Alex spent some Christmas money buying a basketball vest; we dutifully shouted, "D..Fence!" but unfortunately the Pirates lost and Alex wanted to swap loyalties to the winning team!!(Too late..he'd bought the t shirt!) He also drank all of my hot chocolate, which was the nicest I have tried...and you know how fussy I am with it!!

Jessica and I are off to cycle around this lake later today.

Blimey, when do you get to go to the coffee shop to meet with Harold and the aggravating teenagers? Oh and watch out cos nasty Paul Robinson will probably have you hooked into a dodgy business deal quicker than you can say 'here Bouncer'
...and is that Mrs Mangle coming to spread the gossip that Clive Gibbons has parked up his yute outside the Robinsons and is, as we speak, performing an emergency tracheotomy on Lucy on the kitchen table with a bread knife to save her from a bee sting?
I think it might be!
And now, cut to hospital, where Helen/Jim is pacing up and down in the waiting area, waiting, unsurprisingly, for Jim/Helen to recover from a stroke/heart attack??
You must be worn out! I bet you long for the relative tedium of Rosebery Avenue...
Did u see the Allan, Tina is wahing the car!!!!!!!!!! Next year you can ask her to do yours instead of her appearing on the drive and parking sooo close you have to wash hers after finishing your own!!!
Note to Chantelle:
If you look carefully, you will see that she actually isn't washing the car, she has merely posed for a photo with a small duster and a smile.
This is the fast route to one small shiny patch on the bonnet and the rest of it rusting away.
Take is to the car wash, I say...
