Doing the Daintree

OK here is as far north as we go in a year. Cape Tribulation where the Rainforest stops and the Coral sea starts and the only thing in between is a great expanse of beach. If this was the Med the shot would be interspersed with a vast collection of sunloungers, umbrellas and windbreaks but over here this was not the case. Maybe it has something to do with the chance of fatal interaction with "salties" and "stingers" that keeps people out of the water.

Jessica and Alex were probably disappointed in the absence of Ice cream, bouncy castles and candy floss so had to entertain themselves with paddling and fallen palm fronds.

On the way home we cruised the Daintree River looking for crocodiles and snakes. You had to keep your eyes open though so there were lots of
"Look, there it is , just there, there.... THERE! follow my finger"
"Where, where, where? I can't see it"
"Oh you missed it!"
type conversations

Late afternoon saw us at Mossman Gorge, big rocks, rapids and swimming holes (some more stagnant than others)

This is my "pensive" face.

This is our "we got up this rock but how do we get down?" face.
