Great Barrier Reef: still on the things to do list!

Well we thought we could go there tick it off the things done list and return to England, satisfied.
No way! The thought of popping our clogs and not coming here again fills us with dread. For Chris the initial dread was at the start when the thought of being 33km out at sea with two small children to look after and only a piece of polystyrene between him and 20 metres of water created a mini panic attack. Correction a big panic attack. He was intercepted by one of the crew (known as Mr. Fluffy) with the "kind" words of "stop it you're an adult for christ's sake" and that and a subsequent guided tour around the best bit of our first reef pulled him to his senses. After that he did not look back although his polystyrene noodle was hugged tightly all day.

Tina was far more adventurous and went scuba diving.

Alex and Jessica just bobbed around like happy little clown fish all day.

We visited three sites on agincourt reef. Each one better than the last!
The cost of this and the underwater camera hire? Just don't ask! But boy was it worth it. Every single one of these shots apart from the close up clam were taken by ourselves. If you want to see the other 140 photos just come and ask.

Pictures you did not see included the 3 filled sick bags and the white tipped reef shark and the stingray which swam below us. Both of these latter two were too quick. Plus the fact parents/ grandparents may have had a panic attack.

Bloody great pics! Who is the 'special' person on the left in the top picture?

Photos are amazing! I would obviously love to say something cynical and (possibly) amusing, but I am in awe! Did you find Nemo?
