Christchurch. Just like home.... with Alps.

2nd July. Christchurch. 5 minutes to midnight. This was our very late arrival into New Zealand and Pete was still there to pick us up. What a star! Boy is their house cold though! Central heating is not really a New Zealand thing so memories of my childhood came flooding back. The middle of the night frozen dash to the toilet when you can hold on no longer. The world record shower time and the naked morning dash to the Gas Fire to stand in front of it to get changed.
Pete was picking us up for a mini tour after work so the morning we spent without a car just chilling.

Yes Alex is still playing DS, Jessica is still sucking her thumb and Tina is still trying to get her hair looking like Jerry Hall(I'm no longer looking like Liberace thank Goodness)

A beautiful blue sky so we decided that the city could wait for another day and so off we went to
the sign of the Kiwi .

Where Ice Cream was readily consumed

and we enjoyed our first views of the Southern Alps and the Christchurch smog.
