Reaching New (Deer Park) Heights

With the "seen it, done it, bought the T shirt" attitude to Gondola rides and the fact that the Luge ride above it was supposedly shut we chose to see Queenstown from above by driving to "Deer Park Heights". Longdown dairy farm with mountains.

You know the sort of place where goats prance around you desperately trying to nibble your nuts.

then does Gimly the dwarf falling off his horse because this scene below is apparently the location for it from The Two Towers. Actually, we continued to tour around happily for a couple of hours visiting various Lord of the Rings sets.



You know how when you take a digital photo it always shows you what has happened 2 seconds before?...well Chris was very alarmed to literally get a snog from this Llarma! It was far too forward for his liking!
