"The youth asked me how it was. I said it was great, I was lying. I found it ordinary. I found it exactly as you would expect to find it, frightening, then sudden, then over. In short it was OK. What was missing in this adventure was adventure. What was missing from this perilous act was peril."
Well, we didn't do a bungy jump but we did something similar...and we feel it was probably better; The Canyon Swing was frightening, then sudden, then over...but unlike a bungy we weren't truss up like a hanging turkey, in a butcher's window...we were the right way up so we could admire the views! (also note all the safety harnesses etc...very reasurring, unlike a bungy rope just around the ankles.....now that's mad!)

Ok.....it's a bit mad! We stepped out into nothingness!

And the next adrenalin rush involved the whole family...The Shotover Jet raced down the weaving canyon, far too close to rocks and throwing in plenty of 360 spins, to get us all wet and screaming! Luckily we had been warned about the chill factor of -10 degrees, but when my hat blew off into the lady's lap behind, I really knew what cold meant!

We bought the photo pack...but wished the chap had told us which way to look for the boat photos as we all looked in different directions! (Alex is the one who looks the most liable to fly out...don't worry Granny/Nanny/Grandads, we held him tight!)
